PRESS RELEASE: ZTE Corporation held a Core Network User Congress in Istanbul, Türkiye, under the theme “ZTE Smart Core, Reshaping the Mobile AI Era”.

Yang Rui said that, in the era of rapid digital and intelligent development, ZTE’s Smart Core solution integrates AI and 5G-Advanced technologies, achieving a comprehensive upgrade. It not only assists operators in building highly reliable networks with optimal resource efficiency but also delivers an unprecedented and superior experience for end users. Rico Chemnitz, Senior Head of Core Network & Infrastructure of Hutchison Drei Austria, stated in his speech titled “Smooth Evolution to the Era of Containers”: “The smooth evolution of future Core Networks to Container Architecture promises enhanced scalability, flexibility, and operational efficiency. This shift enables microservices-based deployment and faster innovation.”
Ronald Limoa, Vice President of Technology Strategy and Consumer Innovation of Telkomsel, delivered a speech under the theme “Where 5G Core Evolution Meets AI to Serve Our Customers”. He said that as Indonesia’s leading operator, Telkomsel is embarking on an AI-driven journey to not only address its customer’s needs, but also to ensure sustainability across all aspects of its networks. AI is revolutionizing the telecommunications landscape by introducing unprecedented flexibility and efficiency in network operations. The evolution of 5G Core’s service-based architecture supports cutting-edge features like network slicing, edge computing, and cloud-native deployments, allowing Telkomsel to deliver highly personalized and dynamic services.
Eduardo Gutierrez Munoz, MVNO&IMS Director of izzi, delivered a speech on the theme “Embracing FMC”. He stated, “izzi embraces the global strategic trend of FMC technology and has formulated a roadmap for the evolution of FMC based on the Red Hat OCP container platform.”
AHMET TABAKOĞLU, Voice Core Systems Investment and Planning Manager of Türk Telekom, said in a speech on the theme “The evolution of Türk Telekom Fixed Voice Core”, “The IMS-based PES solution is utilized for the transformation of fixed networks, featuring a large capacity of 17.5 million lines and supporting over 32 NGN sites. This solution fully inherits traditional PSTN services while achieving more efficient network operations and upgrades through the deployment of 4 vIMS DCs deployments.”
