PRESS RELEASE: ZTE Corporation partnered with Türkiye’s leading telecommunications operator, Turkcell, have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to collaborate on R&D of next-generation 5G-A and 6G technologies during MWC Barcelona 2025.

This strategic partnership aims to accelerate digital transformation and bring cutting-edge connectivity solutions to businesses and consumers in Türkiye.

Under the agreement, ZTE and Turkcell will jointly explore key innovations, including:

–   5G Fixed Wireless Access (FWA): Enhancing broadband connectivity with advanced networking solutions and market development strategies.

–   5G Private Networks: Deploying high-performance, secure, and scalable private networks for enterprises.

–   Dynamic Reconfigurable Intelligent Surfaces (RIS): Researching mmWave coverage extension for enhanced network performance.

–   Green Network Solutions: Driving energy-efficient and sustainable network innovations.

–   Non-Terrestrial Networks (NTN): Exploring satellite-based communication solutions.

–   Integrated Sensing and Communication (ISAC): Developing applications that merge connectivity with sensing capabilities.

–   Next-Generation IP Networking: Innovating with SRv6, EVPN, 800GE, and future-proof router technologies.

Through this partnership, ZTE will provide advanced 5G-A and 6G network technologies, software solutions, and technical expertise, while Turkcell leverages its technological leadership and innovation capabilities to drive advanced research and real-world applications. Together, the two companies will develop and validate groundbreaking solutions, reinforcing their commitment to shaping the future of digital connectivity.
