Vodafone has announced its first commercial femtocell, the Access Gateway. It will be available from Vodafone shops or online from 1 July and the company claims it is the first of its kind in Europe, able to support four calls made on 3G phones simultaneously. The Gateway will be available as part of a bundle from GBP15 a month or for a single payment of GBP160 or via monthly rental from GBP5 a month.
