PRESS RELEASE: VEON Banglalink and Huawei completed the first commercial deployment of Huawei Invisible Antenna in Bangladesh at the Banglalink’s Office Building.
This achievement is the result of continuous innovation and efforts by Banglalink and Huawei to build high-quality wireless networks, marking another step towards a new era of ubiquitous coverage and interference-free connectivity.
Indoor coverage is an important scenario in Banglalink network construction. However, traditional indoor antennas have lower gains and support only 1T1R, resulting in poor indoor coverage and experience. Meanwhile, traditional indoor antennas require a large number of components, such as RF cables, which are expensive, time-consuming and environment-unfriendly, and affecting the indoor network construction progress of Banglalink.
Banglalink and Huawei began to launch a joint POC after aligning the technical details. Test results show that the average coverage on the live network is improved by 6 dB after Invisible Antenna is deployed, greatly improving the indoor coverage performance of VEON Banglalink. In the future, Invisible Antenna will be extensively deployed to enhance indoor coverage of Banglalink network.
Huawei’s exclusive Invisible Antenna is an innovative antenna solution that features small size, light weight, and invisible vision. Compared with traditional indoor antennas, Invisible Antenna increases the gain, greatly improving indoor network experience. The Invisible Antenna is designed using Huawei’s unique Metal Mesh material, which makes the antenna transparency up to 80% and supports insensible deployment. The successful commercial use of Invisible Antenna reflects Banglalink’s continuous efforts in innovation and improve network performance. As one of the leading operator in the Asia-Pacific region, VEON Banglalink will strengthen the cooperation with Huawei and other industry partners in innovation, exploring more new technology, aims to provide better service quality to the user.
