Cisco’s high profile CTO Padmasree Warrior is reportedly set to leave the company this summer, with news of the departure coming just weeks after Chuck Robbins was named as successor to long term CEO John Chambers.

The rumours of Warrior’s departure coincides with an official statement from Cisco announcing that the company’s president Rob Lloyd and COO Gary Moore will also be leaving the company.

According to Re/code, an official announcement on Warrior could come within three weeks, and all three executives will leave Cisco on 25 July, the same day Robbins takes the reins.

The company’s upheaval at C-level follows a competitive race to succeed Chambers in the top job, which lasted almost three years.

Warrior, ranked the 71st most powerful woman in the world by Forbes, is arguably the most high profile of the three to leave, and joined Cisco in 2008 after serving as CTO for Motorola. She also became Cisco’s head of strategy in 2012 following an executive reshuffle and has built her reputation internally around the company’s big data and IoT strategies.

Warrior is an established presence in global business and technology, also sitting on the boards of retailer Gap and cloud collaboration company Box. It is not yet known if she has already secured another job.
