T-Mobile USA has reportedly rolled out its US$50-per-month unlimited voice plan nationwide, following a brief trial in San Francisco. In combination with its US$35 per month unlimited data and text bolt-on, the operator is able to offer an unlimited voice, text and data offering for US$85, a price point considered to be one of the lowest in the US. Unlimited packages from major rivals such as Verizon Wireless, AT&T and Sprint start at around US$99 per month, though some smaller operators in the US – such as Boost Mobile – have recently introduced US$50 per month unlimited plans. According to RCR Wireless, T-Mobile’s new plan is available to customers that have been with the operator for 22 months or longer.

T-Mobile has yet to officially confirm the new tariff despite reports that some customers have been able sign up to the new deal outside of the San Francisco trial area. “We are offering select customers pricing plans that reward their loyalty to T-Mobile… [but] we are not providing further comment,” a spokesman told RCR Wireless. The new low-price tariff strategy is seen as a way for the operator to prevent its customers churning to rival networks.
