NEC says it has completed a “phase 1” field trial of LTE in the Philippines with Globe Telecom, a subsidiary of SingTel Group. It was not revealed how Globe will progress toward a commercial launch, although NEC says that it will “continue to work closely with the SingTel Group and to further support their LTE business.”
