The Wall Street Journal reports that Samsung Electronics has named Choi Gee-sung, who turned its TV business into the world’s biggest by sales, to be chief executive officer as part of a major reorganisation. The company also promoted Jay Y. Lee as chief operating officer. Samsung also named a new chief financial officer, Yoon Ju-hwa, and said it would adopt international accounting standards in its financial disclosures starting in the first quarter of next year.
