TeleGeography reports that China’s Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) has submitted a TD-LTE-Advanced specification to the ITU as a candidate for IMT-Advanced ‘4G’ technology. TD-LTE-Advanced makes up one of the six candidate drafts submitted to the ITU. All six drafts are related to either LTE-Advanced or WiMAX 802.16m technologies. The winner will not be announced before October next year.
