Telenor-controlled Indian operator Unitech Wireless has decided not to pitch for a pan-India 3G spectrum in the much-awaited auctions in the country, reports India’s Economic Times. It has instead decided to focus on its 2G rollout across its 22 circle mobile footprint in the coming weeks. However, the company said it is open to the idea of 3G in stand-alone circles where it feels there is market potential.
