Starbucks will enable users of BlackBerrys or Apple’s iPhone and iPod touch to pay at US stores using their smartphones. Users who download the Starbucks Card Mobile App can pay for their coffee and other purchases at 6,800 company-operated stores and 1,000 Starbucks outlets situated in Target stores. The launch follows a pilot in a number of locations including Seattle and New York.
