Sprint Nextel said yesterday that Matt Carter, the former head of its Boost Mobile unit, would oversee the development of the number three US service provider’s “fourth-generation” broadband wireless services. Sprint declares its WiMAX network as fourth-generation, although many industry watchers (including Mobile Business Briefing) disagree with this terminology.
