MTS Uzbekistan has obtained a license from the Agency for Communications & Information (UzACI) to construct an LTE network in Uzbekistan, notes TeleGeography. The company subsequently signed an agreement with Chinese equipment manufacturer Huawei for the deployment of an LTE pilot network in Tashkent which will run from 2010 to 2012.
