LinkedIn will introduce advertising to its mobile apps, reports TechCrunch. According to the publication, LinkedIn CEO Jeff Weiner said the company has put the necessary infrastructure in place and is now ready to “start to introduce advertising in our mobile solutions.” The executive made the comments in an analyst call discussing the company’s earnings. He added that mobile is the company’s fastest growing channel and now accounts for 15 percent of LinkedIn’s unique member visits.
