Israeli new-entrant Xfone Communications has been stripped of its licence, having failed to secure funding to secure its concession, according to Israeli publication Globes. Select Communications, which was ranked third in the licence process, has been named as Xfone’s replacement – this company will now have 45 days to provide the necessary guarantees. Another operator, Mirs, was issued with a licence at the same time as Xfone.
