Analytics firm Flurry upgraded its technology, which helps app developers acquire users and measure and monetise apps, by making it easier to control access to metrics about how they are being used.
The Flurry Analytics service now enables developers to build funnels to measure their most important conversions and create custom dashboards to access key metrics. It also now has the capability to alert users about trending metrics when they hit certain milestones or change by a pre-defined percentage.
The technology is available for free for all apps currently using Flurry Analytics on Android, BlackBerry, iOS, HTML5 and JavaME. Current customer can use the additional functionality without upgrading or resubmitting apps.
Flurry claims to now have 65,000 customers using its services, with 10,000 of these being added since December 2011. It measures metrics for 170,000 apps, with 35,000 apps added in 2012, with app sessions tracked per day rising from 760 million to 1.2 billion during the same period.
