The US Federal Communications Commission announced agreements with Industry Canada and the Secretariat of Communications and Transportation in Mexico to share commercial wireless broadband spectrum in border areas. The agreements cover the availability of 700MHz spectrum, with the Canadian agreement also covering 800MHz frequencies. In a statement, the FCC said that the deals “will help support commercial broadband services and public safety mission-critical voice communications.”
