Telegeography notes that Canada’s newest operator Wind Mobile, backed by Egyptian group Orascom Telecom, has announced that it will expand its commercial network to Ottawa and Edmonton as early as next month, following its launches in Toronto and Calgary in December. The Vancouver area is scheduled to be the fifth location for Wind’s expansion, whilst national coverage is being provided via a roaming deal with Rogers Communications.
