Bharti Infratel, the telecom tower infrastructure unit of Bharti Airtel, today declined to comment on a media report which said it is planning a US$1 billion (INR45 billion) initial public offering to sell a 10 percent stake. A spokesman told Dow Jones Newswires that the company does not comment “on market speculation” after the Economic Times newspaper said Infratel is planning the public listing partly to provide an exit to shareholders.
