Malaysia’s Axiata Group is to decide whether to write-down the holding value of its stake in Indian operator Idea Cellular next month, according to Reuters. When it acquired its stake in 2008, Idea was trading at INR100 per share, which has now fallen to INR70. However, it said that the business is “one of the best performing telcos in India.”
