Locally owned Liquid Pay is attempting to differentiate itself from rivals by enabling customers to compare card discounts and merchant rewards when making purchases.
The firm’s iOS and Android app, which debuts today, pitches itself as “a mobile payment platform that integrates payments with price discovery and discounts”.
Its platform promises that merchants and banks can engage with customers by “extending dynamic real time, hyper personalised promotions and offers” via its platform.
Payments are enabled via QR codes scanned by users’ smartphones
The firm aims to spread its service to Thailand and Malaysia in Q1 2017.
Liquid Pay is owned by the Liquid Group, a wholly owned subsidiary of Korvac Holdings which specialises in payments and loyalty.
