Telenor has awarded a contract to Huawei to deploy LTE radio access and EPC (Evolved Packet Core) equipment for its LTE trial in Oslo. The two will test services and apps such as VoD, VoIP, network handover and network throughput. Netcom, a unit of TeliaSonera, and a rival to Telenor, has already built a trial LTE node in Oslo with Huawei, and claims to have tested live services.
