Online games company Nexon announced an alliance with social gaming company DeNA, to take Nexon-developed games to mobile users in Japan and overseas through DeNA’s Mobage platform.

According to a statement, “each company brings unique expertise to the alliance, with DeNA providing extensive marketing and user acquisition support for new titles developed by Nexon and its subsidiaries for the Mobage platform”.

Nexon and its subsidiaries plan to launch “several” new English-language games on Mobage in 2013. The companies will also launch games on DeNA’s Japanese domestic platform in the same period.

In addition, the companies will “collaborate closely” on game development and operations on certain games, as well as co-developing games to “leverage their respective expertise in order to provide unparalleled mobile gaming experiences to a worldwide audience”.
