Vietnam’s Viettel Group has won the contract to become Peru’s fourth mobile operator, according to a Dow Jones Newswires report. Viettel plans to invest about US$27 million in the new network, scheduled to begin operations during the first half of this year. Its rivals will include Claro, Movistar and Nextel.
