According to a Telegeography report that cites India’s Economic Times, Unitech Wireless has commenced preparations to raise the INR100 billion (US$2.1 billion) it plans to invest in the rollout of its nationwide operations. Unitech, which is currently 49 percent owned by Norwegian telecoms group Telenor, is understood to be planning to approach a consortium of banks that it has had previous dealings with to raise the funds.
