Telecompaper notes that German notebook manufacturer Smartbook has obtained a restraining order against Qualcomm and its German subsidiary at the District Court Cologne. Under the restraining order, Qualcomm is prohibited from using the Smartbook name in Germany, with a fine of EUR250,000 for every time they do not comply with the order or alternatively an arrest for contempt of court.
