Malaysian operator P1 announced its future strategy roadmap, which will see it become “the only telco in Malaysia and one of the few telcos in the world to offer fibre optics broadband alongside a 4G wireless service.” The company is deploying TD-LTE technology alongside its existing WiMAX network, “complementing each other and ultimately paving the way for a systematic transition to advanced TD-LTE.” It will also increase its focus on businesses – which are not currently its target market.
