Reuters reports that VeriFone Systems, a US manufacturer of payment terminals, expects to ship “well over” 1 million systems this year, as retailers begin to embrace the contactless payment technology. The company is reportedly involved in pilots involving companies including Google, Mastercard and Citibank.
