Fast-rising smartphone vendor HTC has unveiled its new Android device, Wildfire. Running the company’s Sense user interface, the device is aimed at “a younger audience” than its flagship Desire smartphone. The Taiwanese manufacturer talked up a new app-sharing widget, enabling users to recommend an Android Market application by email, text message or over social networks. Pricing was not disclosed, but the company stated that the device “will be broadly available to customers across major European and Asian markets from Q3 2010.”
