TeleGeography notes that Hong Kong’s telecoms regulator OFTA has confirmed that the three qualified bidders for a new GSM 1800MHz frequency allocation are: China Mobile Hong Kong (which operates as ‘Peoples’), Hong Kong Telecommunications (HKT, part of PCCW, which offers services as PCCW Mobile) and SmarTone (operating under the SmarTone-Vodafone brand).
