AT&T is requesting a federal judge reject Sprint Nextel’s lawsuit opposing the proposed US$39 billion acquisition of T-Mobile USA, reports Bloomberg. AT&T will argue that as a competitor rather than a consumer, Sprint has no right to bring the suit under antitrust law and that the deal would not hurt Sprint’s business, as it claims.
