NEC and Telecom Italia have agreed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to cooperate on business development, technologies and network improvement, notes TelecomPaper. The agreement will see the companies test technologies such as WiMAX, femtocells, FTTx, Microwave PDH/SDH radio systems and LTE, at an NEC Technical Excellence Centre to be established in Italy.
