Singapore operator M1 announced its results for the year ended 31 December 2010, which saw its net profit increase 4.5 percent to SGD157.1 million (US$122.1 million), on operating revenue up 25.3 percent to SGD979.2 million. Service revenue grew by 4.6 percent to SGD732.9 million, as a result of growth in its mobile customer base and a higher contribution from its fixed-line business. The company said that in the current year it will “continue to invest in networks, including the roll out of our LTE network,” in order to meet growing data demand created by smartphones and tablets.
