Honor revealed plans to expand into the Indonesian market in 2025, outlining its aim to capitalise on the country’s rapid economic growth.
In a statement, the vendor stated it will introduce approximately 30 products to the nation this year, including smartphones, tablets, PCs, and wearables. The initial product offering is set for release in Q1, with plans to establish more than ten experience stores across Indonesia in 2025.
In addition to manufacturing products locally to align with anticipated demand, eight service centres will be established nationwide to support post sales services and repairs. The company’s entry strategy also includes plans to collaborate with local retailers and e-commerce platforms.
Honor explained the expansion is part of its broader global ambitions, as it continues to see momentum with international sales.
Justin Li, president of Honor South Pacific said the company sees “incredible potential” in Indonesia, predicting a growing middle-class demand for mid-premium products. “We are perfectly positioned to meet this consumer need with an innovative and extensive product portfolio covering multiple categories,” he added.
Honor’s foray into the Indonesian market comes after Apple recently faced challenges in the country over local manufacturing requirements, which led to a ban on the sale of its iPhone 16.
