Nokia has reportedly revealed that its popular Nseries will soon add a touchscreen device to its product range. “[Nokia] will have lots of touchscreen phones coming up, including an Nseries device very soon,” T3 quotes Devinder Kishore, Nokia India’s director of marketing, as stating during a press event in New Delhi. Nokia recently launched its N96 smartphone, prompting speculation that a ‘N97’ touchscreen model could be available sometime next year.

Earlier this month Nokia announced details of its first ever touchscreen handset – the 5800 XpressMusic device – that will support the company’s new Comes With Music service. However, early reports suggest the launch will miss the Christmas shopping season in most developed countries and will launch only in India, Indonesia, the United Arab Emirates, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Russia and Spain by year-end. The world’s largest handset vendor trails rivals Apple, LG, HTC and Samsung in launching touchscreen devices.
