Apple and LG are this week appearing in court to defend themselves from an Alcatel-Lucent patent infringement suit which was initially filed in 2010, Bloomberg reports. The action concerns video compression technology which the infrastructure giant alleges was infringed by a number of handsets and computers made by the consumer electronics companies, including Apple’s iPhone and iPad and a range of handsets from LG.
