Saudi operator STC is “optimistic“ about winning the third mobile operator licence in Syria, despite the process having been shelved due to politcal unrest in the country, Reuters reports. The operator has a coverage of “70–80 percent“ of the Muslim world, which would be boosted by the Syrian deal.
