Sprint launched its Biz App Marketplace, which it said “gives customers the ability to browse and purchase a variety of applications targeted specifically to address businesses’ mobile application needs.” The company has partnered with “leading solutions providers” to launch the store, in order to meet demand from businesses which are “struggling to find relevant and meaningful solutions.” It offers apps which have been “vetted as trusted and appropriate to a business customer,” across categories such as location, navigation, fleet asset and time tracking, wireless payments, workflow and productivity.
As well as offering an app store, the Biz App Marketplace is also a management portal, enabling enterprises to manage application licences when applicable, and indicate which devices/users should receive an app. All applications are Sprint-billed, “thus streamlining the billing process” for customers.
