PRESS RELEASE: Ucell is the leader in mobile Internet speed in Uzbekistan according to the analysis of Speedtest Intelligence® data for H1 2024. Ucell aims to provide 5G coverage throughout the country from 2024 to 2029, as well as significantly improve user experience and mobile data speed, especially in crowded areas such as popular shopping malls, large hotels, airports, etc. Once Ucell deploys 5G networks in such places, users will be able to enjoy the benefits of 5G networks with an improved user experience.

Ucell realizes its 5G strategy in those regions, where Huawei has been chosen as a vendor, in collaboration with the trusted partner operating in Uzbekistan for 25 years. Joints efforts enabled a significant milestone in Ucell’s journey toward 5G network.

Huawei is providing LampSite X solution in these regions to assist Ucell to launch its indoor 5G network. LampSite X has the highest integration in the industry enabling simplified deployment in all indoor scenarios. The module pRRU5755GR can support all RATs, including 2G, 3G, 4G, 5G, and NB-IoT as well. Compared with traditional 4T4R indoor network, LampSite X solution together with Distributed Massive MIMO feature can increase capacity by 4 times.

Viktor Kim, Head of Network Development of Ucell, stated: “Huawei LampSite provides Gbps ubiquitous experience in large hotels, malls, popular venues for leisure and business events, helping to improve Ucell brand value and city image. LampSite is preferable in high-value scenarios and “new” cities.”

At the beginning of November, Ucell, together with Huawei, held a music festival in three regional centers of Fergana valley dedicated to the completion of the project on network modernization. In order to provide subscribers with high-quality mobile communication, 997 base stations were modernized and 259 new ones were built. As a result of these efforts, the quality of voice calls has improved, and the speed and stability of the Internet connection have increased. All major populated areas are provided with 5G network.
