The Guardian reports that T-Mobile is poised to announce the appointment of Richard Moat, one of the team who helped Hans Snook build the Orange brand, as the new boss of its flagging UK business. The appointment of Moat, who resigned as head of Orange’s Romanian business last month, could spark speculation of a fresh restructuring at T-Mobile UK – which lags well behind third-placed Orange and market leaders O2 and Vodafone – and the possible eventual sale of the business by its German parent Deutsche Telekom.
