Telecom Italia and Spain’s Telefonica will decide in the next three months whether to merge or part ways, La Repubblica newspaper reports without identifying its sources. Telefonica is an indirect shareholder of Telecom Italia with a 46.18 percent stake in Telco, a holding company that owns 22.5 percent of the Italian telecommunications operator.
