Nokia Technologies lost its second high ranking executive in a week, with chief technical officer Guido Jouret following president Ramzi Haidamus towards the exit door.
Jouret, who leaves Nokia Technologies after just over a year, has been appointed as chief digital officer at Swiss automation firm ABB, to lead development of digital solutions. He will assume the role on 1 October 2016.
News of his departure comes just days after it was revealed Haidamus was leaving at the end of the month, with his next destination unknown.
Prior to joining the Finnish vendor’s technology unit, Jouret had a 20-year stint at Cisco, including a stint as general manager of its IoT division. He left the company to join Envision Energy in 2014.
Among Jouet’s achievements at Nokia Technologies, ABB said he “drove” Nokia Technologies’ recent acquisition of digital health firm Withings.
“Guido Jouret is a proven leader in the digital revolution, with a solid track record in creating and growing new business as well as in the digital transformation of mature businesses,” said ABB CEO, Ulrich Spiesshofer.
